Victorian Alchemist

This is my entry to the September CGBoost Challenge. Following the theme of 'Alchemist' I opted to try something a bit different than a medieval high-fantasy setting and created my image as a 19th century-style photograph. I've always loved the subtle menace behind old photographs; the stilted posture, the draconian clothing and the knowledge of the crimes our colonial ancestors engaged in all give a great sense of unease that i tried to recreate.

Everything was done in Blender with the Eevee renderer. I used textures from CC0 textures and the characters were both sculpted from a basemesh by James 'Talon' O'Hare.
